P90x Round 2, Day 23 - Core Synergistics, 3 mile run
Diet :
Breakfast: Oatmeal, Juice
Lunch: Salad with Turkey, Cottage Cheese, Carrots and Celery
Snack: Granola Bar, Jello Pudding, Mixed Fruit Cup
Dinner: Shrimp and Rice, Corn on the Cob
Unplanned Snack: 3 orders of celery and some ranch.
Summary:
I can't believe I didn't post the blog last night. It's irksome, but I honestly forgot. I went out with some friends and on the way home made the mental note several times to blog when I got home. But when I got home I let the dogs out and went to sleep without it even crossing my mind. Go Figure. At least I only missed the blog and not the workout.
Yesterday was Core Synergistics. I'd like to say that after the 100% with Yoga on Monday that I turned around and rocked out this workout as well, but it didn't happen. I gave a mediocre effort to this workout and only made it about 30 minutes into it before I just lost interest. Rather than refocusing and finishing the workout I ended it early and went for my run.
The run was the highlight of my morning though as any effort I neglected during my workout came out during my run. I as able to run 3 miles running the slightly tougher course loop than I usually run and finished in 29:50 which was really satisfying to see.
I felt good about the effort as a whole for the morning workout even though I didn't do as well as I wanted to with Core synergistics.
Diet was good. Went out with some friends and they hadn't eaten yet so we ended up at a Buffalo Wild Wings playing trivia. They got food and while I didn't avoid eating, I did order alot of celery and ate that instead. I ate probably 50 pieces of celery or some retarded amount like that. But celery is good for you I guess. I also drank probably 2 gallons of water yesterday so that was good I suppose.

P90x Day 26 - Core Synergistics
What a busy day. I usually have time to get my post out of the way earlier, but today was just a blur.
Today was Core Synergistics. This is a strange workout, but it's alot of fun. It's really intense but it goes by pretty fast. I actually like this alot because it's a good breakup from what I'm normally doing and I can feel myself getting a good core workout. With the Ab-Ripper I know I "should" be getting a great workout but I'm often so tired from the first workout or I can't make it far enough into the Ab workout to feel like I'm getting a workout without immediately feeling like I'm in over my head. I'm not sure if that makes any sense.
I'm suppossed to weigh in on Sunday, but I'm considering weighing in tomorrow morning. My daughter's first birthday is tomorrow and I would rather be able to enjoy that and not be fretting over my next day weigh-in. I don't think I'm going to do so much tomorrow that I'm able shed any considerable amount of weight between Saturday and Sunday. And I also feel like I've done pretty good this week so I should be able to do it either day. Maybe I'll weigh in both days and take the lower number as my result.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do but that's what I'm leaning towards.
Tomorrow is Yoga. I've got a ton of stuff to get done tomorrow so getting my workout in is going to be tough. I'm going to make time for it, but it might bean having to wake up earlier than I want to for a Saturday. Either way I'm going to press play tomorrow. We'll figure it out.

P90x Day 23 - Core Synergistics
The difference between yesterday and today is astounding. I woke up feeling good and got a workout in that I wasn't just coasting through. I'm not sure if it was food intake or sleep or what that sent yesterday into a tailspin. I'm glad that the only casualty was 1/2 a workout because how I felt yesterday would normally have led me into fast food or just eating for eating's sake.
So Core synergistics is alot of fun. I hadn't done this workout before so it was interesting to actually see what it was made of. It was really tough and my wrists were killing me from all the holding myself up that was involved, but it was still fun. I think this will be a workout that I definately am able to see the change when I do it. The workouts were designed in such a way that I'm sure it'll be a good metric. I really enjoyed banana rolls for some reason. Maybe it's just me being a dork.
Week is moving right along. Looking forward to this weekend.
Can't wait to press play tomorrow.
